Wooout App Support
The Wooout app helps you share your contact details as a QR code, wrapped into unforgettable details of you encounter.
Quick start
Add your contact details.
This is rarely needed, as contact details don't change often.
Add event details (location, event, outfit, memorable detail).
You may want to prepare this ahead of the event. Just add very specific memorable moments during the event.
Show your QR code so others can scan and save your vCard to their contacts.
Give them a hint that your contact will appear in their regular phone's contact list - no extra app needed on their side.
Tip: Keep your event text short and clear for the best QR compatibility. Give them a little intro to the app and you have a nice ice-breaker.

FAQ
1) My contact scanned the QR code. What now?
Your contact details will appear on their smartphone screen, your memorable event details in the notes field. They will see an option to add your contact to their contact list. Done!
2) Do my contacts need a special app?
No special app needed for the person who scans your QR code: Receiving contact information via QR is a basic feature of iOS and Android phones.
3) Directly after scanning, my contact doesn't see the note with the event details. Where are they?
Directly after scanning, receiving phones display an overview with some information hidden. After adding to their contact list, the notes field and every detail you set is added - though this may vary slightly by device or contacts app.
4) Which phones can scan my details?
The QR vCard standard is a very old standard, built into both iOS and Android. We didn't use the most current version in order to include older phones. The standard we use dates back to 2013, so you will find hardly any phone too old to scan.
5) Is my contact/event data stored online?
No. Your contact and event data are stored locally on your device and not sent to remote servers. Your information is not used for other purposes than wooing out your contacts.
6) Why are long detail texts cut off?
The more information you add, the more needs to be stored in the QR code. Screens and cameras might not handle overly complex QR codes. That's why we limited the input in the form fields.
7) Why do I see ads?
Wooout currently has no paid plans or in-app purchases. Ads support Wooout's development. In future versions we plan to include options to remove ads.
8) Why is a sparkle added?
We think Wooout contacts are special and the idea is worth sharing. That's why we add a sparkle to your name and a "Sent with wooout.com" at the end of the details note. Once your contact has saved your vCard, they can edit or remove both with a few taps in their contacts app.
